Vickie Lynn Brown Starkie, 59, went from the arms of her loving family to the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 6.  Vickie was born in Lewisburg, Tenn., to Elease Layne Brown and the late Charles Laverne Brown.

Vickie was retired Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base where she was employed as an item manager.  She was a faithful member of Shirley Hills Baptist Church.  Vickie will always be remembered for her love of her family and her loving home.  She treasured every minute being a Gigi to her granddaughter Charley Elease Waters.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her husband, Robert Wayne Starkie; mother, Elease Layne Brown; daughters, Mollie Starkie Allen of Atlanta and Jenny Waters (Joshua) of Warner Robins, Ga.; brother, Rick Brown (Carmelita) of Huntsville, Ala.; and her granddaughter, Charley Elease Waters.

A visitation was held at Shirley Hills Baptist Church in Warner Robins, Ga., on April 8 from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m.  Funeral services followed at 10 a.m.  At the request of the family, burial was privately held at Andersonville Cemetery.
