Crenshaw County has once again faced traumatic weather damages, but thankfully no injuries have been reported at this time.
“Our county had multiple structures damaged in the Brantley and Dozier area, along with broken power poles and fallen trees,” said Elliott Jones, Crenshaw County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) director.
“We had no injuries reported.”
At this point, Jones reports that the damage appears to have been caused by straight-line winds, and his findings match up with information found by the National Weather Service’s radar equipment. According to Jones, five structures were damaged during the storm, both residential and commercial.
Severe damage was done to the Inland Food Store gas station located on Main Street in Brantley; a section of the roof detached from the structure.
