Robert Edward Marlow

Robert Edward Marlow was born Sept. 9, 1932 to the parents of Eugene and Lula Mae Marlow in Greenville, Ala.
He gave his life to Christ at an early age, united at Old Elam Baptist Church. After moving to Dayton, Ohio, he joined the Good Samaritan Baptist Church, where he served on the usher board. He remained a faithful member until his retirement and moving back home. After moving back home, he reunited with Old Elam Baptist Church where he served faithfully on the deacon board and trustee board.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Lula Mae Marlow; his wife, Betty Marlow; and one brother, Bobby Kent. He leaves to cherish his memory six daughters, Claudette (Leon) Truitt, Greenville, Ala., Shelia Lattimore, Columbus, Ga., Shelly (Reggie) Williams and Sherry White, Madison, Wis., Kim (Darrell) Walker, Middletown, Ohio, and Teri (Farrell) Rivarde, Hamilton, Ohio; four sons, John Marlow, Greenville, Ala., Michael Marlow, Clovis, N.M., Sherman Sweatt, Middletown, Ohio, and Jay Sweatt, Clearwater, Fla.; two sisters, Ellen (Burnise) Battison, Grand Island, N.Y., and Sally (Darryl) Glasco, Buffalo N.Y.; one brother, James Edward (Charmain) Kent, Niagra Falls, N.Y.; three sisters-in- law, Patricia Hill and Norma Jean Harris, Middletown, Ohio, and Clara Kent, Foley, Ala.; 24 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; one goddaughter, Sandra Harris; a host of nieces and nephews; a devoted friend, Frazier Cook, and a devoted neighbor, Jerome Kemp.
