Robert “Mac” Woodruff, 66, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 27, 2015 after a lengthy battle with cancer. A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, Dec. 31, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Leak Memory Chapel with Craig Burkhalter officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior the service. Burial will take place in Sunrise Memorial Park, 3013 Mobile Rd., Greenville, Ala., 36037 at approximately 1 p.m. Mac was preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Verla Woodruff, and brothers, Melvin and Edward. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Janice; children, Pam Chut (Frank), Jennifer Dean, Crystal Hollingshead (Rob), Robby Dean (Heather), Lisa Dixon (Joseph) and stepson, Larry Lee Langley (Mandy); sister, Beatrice Woodruff Carver, brother, Carlton Woodruff (Edna), sister, Debra Acreman (Wayne); 11 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. Mac was a local plumber for more than 40 years. He loved NASCAR, Alabama football, boating and fishing, his family and his dog, Coco. Pallbearers will be Johnny Woodruff, Danny Woodruff, Mike Woodruff, Robby Dean, Rob Hollingshead, and Stephen Acreman. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the family for the purchase of Mac’s headstone.
