Charles Vernon “Cotton” Duke, 48, a resident of Georgiana, Ala., died at his home Thursday, Dec. 24, 2015. A celebration of life will be Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016 at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home with Brother Rickey Crysell and Brother Lane Simmons officiating and Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 2 p.m.

Mr. Duke was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie and Ruth Duke; sister, Susan Palmer; and brother, Danny Palmer.

He is survived by his sisters, Sheila Buchanan and Patsy “Patty” Dunklin both of Mobile, Ala.; brothers, John “Bo” Duke of Goshen, Ala., and Ricky Duke of Montgomery, Ala.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
