Skylar Grant Taylor, 24, a resident of Prattville, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Sept. 28, 2015.

Funeral services will be held today at 2 p.m. from Prattville Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Rodney Culpepper officiating. Burial will follow in Boones Chapel Cemetery with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing.

Skylar was preceded in death by his adopted father, Billy Gibbons; one brother, Timothy Gibbons and maternal grandmother, Mary Spivey.

He is survived by adopted mother, Martha Gibbons; mother, Kim Tarvin; father, Randall Taylor; two sisters, Mary-Katlin Tarvin and Harleigh Collum; one brother, Evan Nichols; maternal grandfather, Colin (Becky) Montgomery; paternal grandmother, Mary (Junior) Lowe; paternal grandfather, Ronnie (Janice) Taylor; extended family members and many friends.

Skylar was a 2009 graduate of Marbury High School.

Pallbearers will be Evan Nichols, Brendon Boyd, Bud Davies, Clifford Brown, Mabry Thorn, Josh Nichols, John Allen Flournoy and Hogan Sheridan.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening at Prattville Memorial Chapel, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
