Luke 14:11: “The proud will be humbled, but the humble will be honored.”

It is football season, yes, yes, yes!

As children of the living God we can learn a lot from the game of football.

There are some football techniques that can give us victory over our own personal endeavors.

Football Class 101: In football, they tell the offensive line, no matter how big you are, to STAY LOW.

So that you can have leverage, STAY LOW.

No matter how big you get in life, STAY LOW.

No matter what title you have in front of your name, how much money you have in the bank, or how many people know who you are, STAY LOW.

Here in our golden text, Jesus advised people not to rush to the best places at a feast.

People today are just as eager to raise their social status, whether by being with the right people, dressing for success or driving the right car.

Whom do you try to impress?

Rather than aiming for prestige, look for a place where you can serve.

If God wants you to serve on a wider scale, he will invite you to take a higher place.

The moment you use your knowledge, prestige, power or resources to attempt to be like God, it will be made very clear, very soon, there is only one God.

Humble yourself beneath His mighty hand.

Please, STAY LOW! Thanks!
