Lewis Womack Crenshaw, 84, a resident of Greenville, Ala., died at his home Tuesday, Aug. 11. A graveside service was held Friday, Aug. 14 at 10 a.m. at Crenshaw Cemetery with Rev. Dr. David Saliba officiating and Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home directing. Visitation was held Thursday, Aug. 13 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home.
Mr. Crenshaw was preceded in death by his brother, Frederick William Crenshaw IV. He is survived by his wife, Margaret K. Crenshaw of Greenville; sons, VADM Lewis W. Crenshaw Jr., USN (Ret.) (Marilyn K.) of McLean, Va., and Thomas A. Crenshaw (Mary Lou) of Greenville; grandchildren, L.W. Crenshaw III (Pamela K.), Lauren C. Leo (Benjamin) and Jennie Alexander Crenshaw; great-grandchildren, Charlie Crenshaw, Ander Crenshaw, Lucy Crenshaw, Layla Leo and Eliza Leo; sister, Betty C. Hendricks of Birmingham, Ala., and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society at P.O.
