‘Caring’ Walmart employee comes to rescue of reader during storm

Dear Editor,

On July 23, I was in the local Walmart when it started thundering. Hoping to get back to my car before the rain started, I hurried to checkout. As I was leaving the store it started to rain a little. I looked toward the Edge Theater and saw a sheet of rain heading my way. I hurried to get to my car. As I was getting to my car, this young man, an employee of Walmart, was getting carts in and called out to me to see if I needed an umbrella. He had one of those really big umbrellas. I told him no, I thought I could make it, even though it was raining a little harder. He came over anyway. As soon as he put the umbrella over me, it flooded! He proceeded to help me get my bags into my car and when we finished he walked me to my door and held the umbrella over me until I was in. What an exceptional young man! I did not get his name because of the rain and hurrying to get in the vehicle. However I did call Walmart and spoke with a manager and found out my umbrella guy was Jamarcus Tyson. I have already written my letter to the corporate office on what an exceptional young man he is. He went out of his way to help me and it was not part of his job. It is wonderful to know that we have such caring people willing to help out another person.
