Writer Danielle Raver plans to give book enthusiasts a peek into the local bookwriting scene.

Raver, a native of Goshen, is a science fiction writer and author of the book “Fire Born,” the first in a four-book series of young adult fantasy books. The next book is going to be released in 2016.

“Fire Born” is the tale of a young girl’s journey to survive being kidnapped by a dragon.

Raver published her first novel, “Brother Betrayed,” in 2011 where it topped the charts as an Amazon No. 1 best seller.

At Wednesday’s event there will be door prizes and a time to meet and discuss the book with Raver. There will also be an opportunity to purchase Ravers novels and her poetry book.
