Five people were injured in a two-vehicle wreck on U.S. 331 Saturday. The incident happened at 2:25 p.m. at the 70 mile marker.

“One of the injuries, Inocencio Pérez Gomez, was lifelighted to Baptist South in Montgomery with life-threatening injuries,” said Trooper Kevin Cook of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Others injured in the wreck were taken to local hospitals with what Cook classified as non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash is still under investigation.
