Caroline “Sister” Pinckard Davis, age 90 and a lifelong resident of Brantley, passed away Friday, June 26, 2015.

Funeral services were held on Monday, June 29, 2015, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Brantley, with the reverends Timothy Davis and William Leverett officiating.

Burial followed in the church cemetery with Dallas Foreman, Jamie Foreman, Caleb Brown, Garrett Harrell, Matthew Rice and Kyle Robertson serving as pallbearers.

Visitation was held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert “Dude” and Merle Stroud Folmar; her first husband of 43 years, Dallas Pinckard, and her second husband, A.R. Davis; an infant son and son-in-law, Robert Mills; brother, Edward Folmar; and sisters, Naomi Knighten, Mavis Mount and Ann Witherington. She is survived by her children, Maxine (Larry) Brown, Brenda Mills, Vickie (Boone) Davis and Tony Pinckard; stepdaughters, Margie Cotton and Mary Jo (Ronald) Moody; grandchildren, Allen Brown, Angela Folmar, Lisa Mims, Karen Rice, Robin Mills, Jane Foreman and Leslie Smith; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Lamar (Carolyn) Folmar and Kenneth (Loretta) Folmar; and sisters, Avonell Patterson and Merle (Julius) Mount.
