Chelsea Eytel has been hired as the summer intern for the Luverne Journal.

“I feel so blessed to have been given this opportunity to expand my knowledge of journalism and to experience how a newspaper is run in the real world,” Eytel said, “ I truly can’t thank the newspaper enough!”

Eytel just graduated from Troy University with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism. She played on the Troy University softball team and was an active member for TROY TrojanVision. You may have seen her doing the weather on the TrojanVision midday show.

“We are excited to have Chelsea join our team,” said GNL managing editor Andy Brown. “We believe she will be an asset to the Journal and the Crenshaw County community. We’re glad to have the chance to work with her throughout this internship, and are excited to see the contributions she’ll make to our newspaper and the community.”
