Mrs. Christie Michelle Martin, 40, a resident of Opelika, Ala., and a former resident of Greenville, Ala., died Sunday, May 10, in Opelika.

The family will receive friends at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home in Opelika on Thursday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. 

The family will have another visitation on Friday from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. at the chapel of Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home in Greenville.  The funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home with Rev. Watson Wasden officiating.  Burial will be in Antioch West Baptist Church Cemetery with Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Martin is survived by her husband, John Thomas Martin (J.T.) of Wetumpka, Ala.; three children, Taylor Higdon of Pensacola, Fla., Jaedda Patterson of Connecticut, and Amber LeeEllen Martin of Wetumpka, Ala.; two granddaughters, Saniah Higdon and Ariee Higdon; two other grandchildren; mother,  Dot Higdon of Greenville; two brothers,  Dwayne Higdon (Elizabeth) of Brewton, Ala., and Tracy Higdon (Julie) of Murrysville, Penn.; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
