Matthew Ryan Curtis

 

Matthew Ryan Curtis, lifetime resident of Mobile, passed away in his sleep at the age of 30.

He was preceeded in death by his maternal grandfather, Reho M. Campbell, and his paternal grandparents, William D. Curtis Jr. and Grace McCall Curtis, all of Luverne.

Curtis was a graduate of W.P. Davidson High School and the University of South Alabama, and he was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church in Mobile. He was an avid hunter, a talented musician and artist, a loving person and a child of God.

He is survived by his parents, Daniel Philip Curtis and Melissa Campbell Curtis; sister, Amanda S. Curtis; nephew, Ocean Jones, and niece, Belle Strahan of Mobile; brother, Michael P. (Chasity) Curtis and niece, Nora Curtis of Birmingham; grandmother, Madeline W. Campbell of Luverne and many special aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, as well as two faithful Jack Russells. In high school, he lettered in football and baseball, and in college, he participated in ROTC and club football.  Funeral services were held on April 21 at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with interment in Mobile Memorial Gardens.

 

Ella Lena Faust

 

Ella Lena Faust, 79, a resident of McKenzie, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2015. A celebration of life service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, April, 29, 2015 from the Johnson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Isaac Kervin officiating. Burial will follow in Pigeon Creek Cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana will direct arrangements. Lena was preceded in death by her parents, James Albert and Nobie Lena Bates Faust; brother, William Walter Faust, and sister, Mae Taylor. Survivors include sisters, Jewell Hawkins of Pensacola, Fla., Ruby Stinson of McKenzie, Dorothy Allen of Cantonment, Fla., and Sybil (Woodrow) Harrison of Cottonwood, Ala.; brother, Murphy (Linda) Faust of Hope Hull, Ala.; 13 nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews. Chadrick Lee Hall

 

Mr. Chadrick “Chad” Lee Hall, 23, died April 25 at his residence in Greenville.

The funeral service will be Thursday, April 30, at 2 p.m. at First Assembly of God in Greenville with Rev. Lane Simmons and Rev. Glenn Vaugh officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing. Internment will follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m.

Chad is survived by his parents, Tina and John Hall of Greenville; maternal grandmother, Joyce Acker of Greenville; brother, Keith Hall of Greenville; and fiancé Victoria of Wetumpka, Ala.; nephew, Harper of Wetumpka, Ala.; Aunt: Lisa Floyd of Florida; uncles, Kenneth Hall of Greenville, Randy Acker of Prattville, Ala., and Chris Acker of Montgomery, Ala.; special loved ones, Pete Tutchtone and Mike Hayden both of Greenville; and a host of cousins and many, many friends.

Chad loved God, family, playing music and Alabama football. He was a member and musician of the praise team at First Assembly of God in Greenville.

D’Lorah Christine Montieth

 

D’Lorah Christine Montieth, 76, a resident of Highland Home, Ala., died April 25.

The family will have a memorial service at a later date.  Funeral arrangements are being handled by Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home.

Mrs. Montieth was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Norman Wayne Montieth; sons, Michael Edward LaChusa and Daniel Lyle Skaggs; mother, Lila LaChusa and brother, Raymond Uphouse.

Mrs. Montieth is survived by daughters, Theresa Cochran of Colorado, Norma Cavanaugh of Chipley, Fla., Linda Powell (Waylon) of Millbrook, Ala., Melissa Blackwell of Panama City Beach, Fla., and Nancy Crawson (Jimmy) of Vernon, Fla.; sons, Lewis Martin, Jr., David Montieth, Edward Montieth, and Nicholas Montieth of Highland Home; grandchildren, Mike LaChusa , Michelle LaChusa, Samantha Blackwell, Leroy Blackwell III, Corey Blackwell, Shelby Powell, Makenzie Powell, Chance Hobson, Trinity Blackwell, Amanda Porter, Amber Burt, Haley Crawson, Stephanie Montieth, and Alanna Montieth; many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Louise Walters, 87, a resident of Greenville, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2015. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. at Brushey Creek Cemetery with Larry Gaston officiating and Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana directing arrangements. Survivors include daughter, Debra McInvale of Greenville; granddaughters, Jessica Henson, Huntsville, Ala., Jennifer Morgan of Greenville; grandson, Michael Walters of Boston, Mass.; great-granddaughter, Kylie Morgan of Greenville and sister, Rosa Lee Castleberry of Red Level.
