The Greenville-Butler County Public Library is hosting its first Spring Concert Series on Thursdays, starting April 30 at 5:30 p.m.
Library Director Kevin Pearcey said all concerts would be held at the Library’s Camellia Pavilion.
“We have a great selection of local talent lined up to perform,” said Pearcey. “We want people to bring their lawn chairs and blankets, enjoy some great music and take advantage of the beautiful grounds surrounding the Pavilion.”
Pearcey said popcorn and drinks would be available to the public for free. Heavy rain cancels.
Along with scheduled performers, Pearcey said the Library is offering an “Open Mic” event on Thursday, May 28 for anyone wishing to get behind the microphone.
“You can bring your own music on CD or your own guitar,” he said. “No competition and no expectations. Just a chance to perform for the enjoyment of others.”
Pearcey said registration for the Open Mic is required. To register to perform, call or email the library at library@greenville-bcpl.org for more information.
Dates and the scheduled lineup is:
- Thursday, April 30: Ben Norman and Steve Norman
- Thursday, May 14: Stacey and Chad Edwards
- Thursday, May 21: Michael Sport
- Thursday, May 28: OPEN MIC (Call the Library for information)
- Thursday, June 4: Cailyn Thompson and Caleb Luckie
