Butler County Commissioner Jesse McWilliams announced Monday that he will seek a fifth term on the commission.

At the close of this term, McWilliams will have served District 2 for 16 years — nearly a decade of which were spent as the chairman.

“Elections are coming up and I plan to be a candidate again for my seat in District 2,” McWilliams said. “I want to get that out of the way. A lot of times people will ask me, ‘Jesse, what are you running for?’ Well, I’m running for commissioner in District 2 again.”
