Mr. and Mrs. Christopher D. Gooden would like to announce the marriage of their daughter, Kandi Santanna Gooden, to Edgar Armando Walker. Kandi and Edgar are to be wed on May 9, 2015, at Westside United Methodist Church in Geneva at 3 p.m.

Kandi graduated from Brantley High School in 2006. She is a 2010 graduate of LBW, with an associate’s degree in science, and a 2012 LBW graduate with an associate’s degree in sonography. She is currently employed with Geneva Medical Group.

Kandi is the granddaughter of the late Mr. Louie Hendrix and Mrs. Jean Hendrix of Geneva. She is also the granddaughter of Mr. James I. Crowe and Mrs. Mary H. Crowe of Brantley and Bobby Gooden of Opp.

Edgar is the son of Mr. Rickey Walker and Mrs. Carmen Walker of Brantley. Edgar is the grandson of the late Mr. Johnny L. Walker and the late Mrs. Lena Walker of Glenwood. He is also the grandson of the late Mr. Carmelio Vaca and Mrs. Juanita Vaca Rangel of Mexico.

Edgar is a 2006 graduate of Brantley High School and is currently employed by Noble Drilling Corporation, an offshore drilling company.

The reception will be at the church, immediately following the wedding. All family and friends are invited.
