Johnny M. Kelley Sr.

 

Mr. Johnny M. Kelley Sr., 72, a resident of Luverne, died Tuesday, March 17, 2015. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 20, 2015 at the chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Pastor Blu Braden officiating. Interment  followed in Cool Spring Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Kelley was preceded in death by a grandson, Adam Frazier; parents, Horace and Emma Kelley; a sister, Maxine Pringle; and a sister-in-law, Betty Bazzell.  Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Kathleen Blackwell Kelley; four children, Tammy (Anthony) Frazier, Johnny Kelley, Jr., Paul (Cyndi) Kelley, and Shane (Michelle) Kelley; seven grandchildren, Crimson Judy, Jackie Doran, Britt Kelley, Shelby Kelley, Saylor Kelley, Kaylan Stephenson, and Dalton Kelley; three great-grandchildren, Braelyn Bice, River Lemley, and Braxton Lemley; three sisters, Juanita (Gene) Cross, Barbara Holland, and Shirley (Dick) Davis.  Active pallbearers were Craig Wells, Timothy Blackwell, Skipper Davis, John Actualy, Lester Stokes, and James Mason.

Kermit Foster Styron

 

Mr. Kermit Foster Styron, 96, a resident of Rutledge, died Tuesday, March 17, 2015.  Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Siloam Baptist Church with Dr. Chet Roden officiating. Interment  followed in the church cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing.  Mr. Styron was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Crittendon Styron; his brother, Barnna O. Styron; and his parents, Thomas and Ida Mae Lumley Styron.  Survivors include three children, Barbara Whitaker, Gerdon (Jo) Styron, and Bennie (Lena) Styron; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Active pallbearers were Foster Styron, Jeremy Roden, Logan Sport, Nolan Clackley, Caleb Roden, and Mickey Styron.  Will Whitaker, John Luke Whitaker, Shelby Styron, and Riley Styron will served as honorary pallbearers. The family requests that any memorial donations may be made to the Siloam Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
