A man went to the airport and he ran into this pretty, pretty girl.

They began talking and they began to click with each other. Something was happening; fire was starting to ignite.

The man finally asked her, “Where are you flying to?”

She said, “I am flying to Canada. Where are you flying to?”

The man replied, “l am flying to Mexico.”

He came up with a bright idea: “Why don’t we get on the same plane?”

Wow!

What he didn’t think of in his stricken state is that it is impossible for two people to travel together when one’s going up and the other’s going down.

In Ephesians 5:32-33, Paul is trying to get the people to understand, that marriage is helping each partner grow.

The union of husband and wife merges two persons in such a way that little can affect one without also affecting the other. Instead, it means caring for your spouse as you care for yourself, learning to anticipate his or her needs and helping the other person become all he or she can be.

The creation story tells of God’s plan that husband and wife should be one (Genesis 2:24).

Jesus also referred to his plan (Matthew 19:4-6).

So, let’s get on the same plane. Thanks!
