We have learned first hand how fortunate we are to have the Luverne Health and Rehab Facility in our county. Our loved one, Byrl Davis Tate, was a resident there for four months prior to her recent death. From the date of admission forward, we encountered helpful staff who cleaned her room and kept floors shining; skilled nursing staff who dispensed medications and examined and evaluated her daily; trained personnel who provided the nutrition tailored just for her; activity directors who stimulated her physically, mentally and socially; caring staff who helped with her bath and other personal needs; administrators and others who provided information when we needed it and answered our questions. They not only provided skilled care and compassion for our loved one, but they also extended their compassion to our family. One member of our family who is a pastor said, “I visit a lot of nursing homes, and this one is second to none.” We agree.
