Mr. Dallas Simmons, 78, a resident of Valley and formerly of Luverne, died Mon., Jan. 12, 2015. Memorial graveside services will be held at noon on Sat., Jan. 17, 2015, at Zoar Cemetery in Elba, with the Rev. Johnny Jones officiating.

Mr. Simmons was preceded in death by his parents, Bud and Claudie Bryan Simmons; one sister, Carolyn Simmons; and five brothers, Harper, John, Waylon, Tullis and Jerry Ray Simmons.  Survivors include three children, Mike Simmons, Greg (Donna) Simmons and Leann (Doug) Shumate; five grandchildren, Anthony Simmons, Code (Allyson) Simmons, Hudson, Hannah and Hank Shumate; three great-grandchildren; four sisters, Maxine Jones, Mable Hamm, Doris (James) Morgan and Judy (Charles) Rogers; and two brothers, Dwayne (Charlotte) Simmons and Guy (Shirley) Simmons.

Dallas loved the outdoors and especially to squirrel hunt and fish.
