Evalane Nussbaum

Evalane Nussbaum, 76, of Valdosta, died at her home on Mon., Dec. 22, 2014.
Born in Luverne, on March 3, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Rudolphus Algie Lee and Bertha Mae McHenry Lee.
Evalane was a homemaker. She had an immense love for nature and all animals. Evalane enjoyed reading, poetry, gospel music and family above all else.
Survivors are her husband of 57 years, Albert Nussbaum of Valdosta; daughter, Kathy Nussbaum Cree of Valdosta; son, Tony Nussbaum (Daphni) of Asheville, N.C.; grandchildren, Melissa Atkins (fiancé Russell Brown) of Lake Park; Jamey Cree of Valdosta; Randy Nussbaum, Drew Nussbaum and Hayden Nussbaum, all of Asheville, N.C.; Amber Karnes and Heidi Walblay of Va.; great-grandchild, Raylen Brown of Lake Park; brother and sisters, Rayford “Peewee” Lee (Mary Ann), Edna Ruth Norsworthy and Ora Mae Jordan, all of Ala.; several nieces and nephews; and a large extended family.
She was preceded in death by a son, Andy Nussbaum; three brothers, Joe Lee, Jimmy Lee and Manly Lee; and two sisters, Melba Brown and Betty Jean Vowell.
In accordance with Evalane’s wishes, a private family service will be held at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens.
