If you think you saw a considerably high number of Ford Mustangs in last Saturday’s Christmas parade, you are right. In all, about 25 Mustangs were in the parade.

Hundreds of Mustang enthusiasts were invited to join the parade as a surprise for local car enthusiast Ricky McGough.

Earl Dees and Pat Floyd, organizers of the surprise and the party that followed the parade, say most people know McGough as “Mr. Mustang.”

“Ricky has been working on mustang cars for all of his life,” said Floyd. “Earl wanted to do something very special for him.”

Keeping the surprise was no easy task. Dees and Floyd enlisted the help of McGough’s family.

“Earl talked to his family about let’s do this and they thought it would be wonderful,” Floyd said.
