Mr. Henry Edward Nichols, 86, a resident of Luverne, died Thurs., Nov. 27, 2014. Funeral services were held at Turner Funeral Home Chapel on Sat., Nov. 29, 2014 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Bob Yawn officiating. Interment followed in Emmaus Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing.

Mr. Nichols was preceded in death by his grandson, Justin Taunton; his parents, John and Cumi Nichols; his sister, Estelle Ellison; and his three brothers, Porter Nichols, Ralph Nichols and Darwin Nichols. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Margaret Nichols; two children, John A. (Liz) Nichols and Jeanne N. (Greg) Taunton; six grandchildren, Watson (Raven) Nichols, Levi (Holly) Nichols, Ethan Taunton, Tracy (Deonne) Flowers, Jess (Cheryl) Flowers, and Roger (Paige) Phoenix; four great-grandchildren, Sailor Margaret Nichols, Jack Henry Nichols, Tyler Flowers and Madison Flowers. His grandsons served as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Henry Guy Edwards, Tom Russell, Phillip Moore and Barnett King.
