David Wayne Smith, 62, a resident of Georgiana, Ala., passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2014. Memorial service will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014 at Providence Cemetery with Rev. Donnie Smith officiating and Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana directing arrangements. Survivors include Judy Carrolyn Smith of Georgiana; daughter, Judy Carrolyn Taylor of Georgiana; son, David Wayne Smith Jr. of Greenville; sister, Betty Jean Merritt of McKenzie; brother, Stanley Thomas Smith of Georgiana; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
