Alice Irene Beasley Armstrong, 93, a resident of Dothan and formerly of Luverne, died Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2014. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014 from Turner Funeral Home Chapel with Doug and Richard Tisdale and Rev. Wayne Webber officiating. Interment followed in Luverne Emmaus Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Armstrong is preceded in death by her son, Curtis Armstrong; daughter, Margaret Stephenson; granddaughter, Sandra Hopkins; four brothers and four sisters. She is survived by four children, Louise (George) Boswell, Carolyn (Quitman) Tisdale, Mary Ann (Wayne) Wilson and Jerry (Lynne) Armstrong; daughter-in-law, Debe Armstrong; son-in-law, Windham Stephenson; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Elliot and Luvene Pippin; and one brother, Balford Beasley. Active pallbearers were Justin Tisdale, Richard Tisdale, Zachary Smith, Jonathan Smith, Chris Armstrong, Brandon Esco, Eddie Billings and Kevin Schultz.
