Adam and Heather Arnold Merritt of Headland, Ala., announce the birth of their daughter Madalynne Grace Merritt.

She was born Sept. 16, 2014, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, Ala. She weighed 5 pounds, 13 ounces and was 17 inches long.

Her paternal grandparents are Joey Merritt of McKenzie, Ala., and Virginia Robinson of Greenville, Ala.

Her maternal grandparents are Jeff and Julie Arnold of Notasulga, Ala., and Gary and Rebecca Sanders of Chipley, Fla.

She was welcomed home by her five-year-old brother, Bradley.
