Mrs. Vivian Mae Free, 90, a resident of Rutledge, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014. Funeral services were held on Monday, Sept. 15, 2014 at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Minister John Dickinson officiating. Interment followed in Rutledge Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Free was preceded in death by her husband, Coston S. Free; parents, W.I. and Eula Garner Mills; two sisters; and a brother. She is survived by six children, Fay (Bobby) Milton, Jimmy (Barbara) Free, Judy (Dwight) Scroggins, Daniel Free, Mack (Cheryl) Free and Ricky (Theresa) Free; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and a sister, Ella Kate Moses. Active pallbearers were Jim Free, Dusty Free, Randall Free, Juston Free, Chad Free, Chase Free and Bill Milton. The family requests that any memorials be made to Rock Hill Church of Christ.
