Robert (Bob) Maples, BMCS USN-Ret, 74 of Greenville, Ala., passed away Aug. 23, while at home in Bremerton with his family after a long fight with cancer. He had a full career serving his country, retiring after 45 years. Bob is survived by his wife, Clare, of 45 years; his brother, Heubert Maples; sister, Connie Blackwell; and cousins, Edna, Dot, Marilyn, Artis and LeRoy; as well as nieces and nephews from across the U.S. Finally, he leaves behind his daughters Andrea (Derek) Brogger and Casey (John) Kroesser, and their daughters, Morgan, Lauren and Peyton.
