Jean Jernigan, 78, a resident of Georgiana, Ala., passed away on Sept. 7. A celebration of life was held Sept. 9 at the Johnson Funeral Home chapel with Rev. James Charles Phillps officiating. Burial followed in Macedonia Cemetery with Johnson Funeral Home directing arrangements. Survivors include, daughter, Julia (O’Neal) Stinson, Greenville, Ala.; sons, John (Margaret) Jernigan and James (Jennifer) Jernigan, both of Georgiana, Ala., and Jimmy (Julie) Jernigan, Montgomery, Ala.; one brother and five sisters; 15 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
