Billy Ray Powell, 63, a resident of Georgiana, passed away on Aug. 11. A celebration of life was held Aug. 13 at the Johnson Funeral Home chapel with ministers Peter Cooper and Phillip Box officiating. Burial followed in Union Cemetery with Johnson Funeral Home directing arrangements. Survivors include: wife, Frances Powell, Georgiana; daughter, Leela (Timmy) Wilson, Georgia; sons, Billy Powell and George Powell, both of Georgiana; and 10 grandchildren.
