Greenville native and Fort Dale Academy graduate Casey Rogers joins Pioneer Electric as a communications specialist.
Rogers will also serve as the co-op editor for the cooperative’s statewide monthly magazine, Alabama Living.
The Greenville native is a recent graduate of the University of Alabama where she earned a bachelor of science in human environmental sciences and a bachelor of arts in communications sciences.
Pioneer Executive Vice President and General Manager Terry Moseley said that he is pleased to have Rogers join the staff.
“Casey is a Greenville native that grew up on Pioneer Electric lines, and she knows what the cooperative is all about,” said Moseley. “Her experience in the energy industry on a local and state level made her a good fit for Pioneer Electric. Casey is experienced with social and digital media and that is an area that PEC plans to improve on in the near feature, allowing our members to be closer to us.”
Linda Horn who serves as vice president of member services at PEC said that Casey is energetic and eager to communicate programs that will benefit the cooperative’s members and the community.
“Her professional communication skills, technology experience, and fresh ideas relative to social media are assets that will add value to this position as we strive to meet the needs of the member-owners that we serve,” said Horn.
Rogers said that she is looking forward to using her experience and knowledge in public affairs and political communication in her position at Pioneer Electric.
“I am thrilled to begin a new chapter in my life in the very town that I have always called home,” said Rogers. “I am looking forward to connecting the cooperative to its members and to the communities that we serve.”
Pioneer Electric Cooperative serves almost 13,000 members in nine different counties, with Butler, Lowndes, Dallas and Wilcox counties making up the primary service areas. Rogers is the daughter of Steve and Linda Rogers.
