Advocate hosting political forum

The Greenville Advocate will host a political forum May 22.

The event will begin at 6 p.m. and candidates running for the Butler Board of Education, Butler County Sheriff, Butler County Coroner, Butler County District Judge, Senate District 23, House of Representatives District 90,  Secretary of State, State Auditor, Public Service Commission, Lt. Governor and Governor are invited to attend.

“This Political Forum is an opportunity that gives you a direct line to your local government,” Greenville Advocate Publisher Tracy Salter said. “Being involved allows you to increase your knowledge about the operations of all levels of government and play an important role in the changes and constant opportunities in the community.”

The forum will be held at the Wendell Mitchell Conference Center on the campus of LBW Community College in Greenville. Dr. Jim Krudop, LBW Community College Vice President, will serve as the moderator.

Butler County voters can submit questions for the forum by emailing them to editor@greenvilleadvocate.com. Questions must include the name of the person asking the question and must be received by May 16.
