Thompson, Moseley elected to AREA board

Tommy Thompson of Forest Home and Terry Moseley of Greenville were elected to the Alabama Rural Electric Association of Cooperatives’ Board of Directors April 10 during the association’s 67th annual meeting in Montgomery.
Moseley, general manager at Pioneer Electric Cooperative, will serve on the association’s legislative and member services committees. Thompson will serve on the association’s training and development, strategic planning, and legislative committees.
AREA’s board also elected Patsy Holmes of Central Alabama Electric Cooperative, Prattville, as chairman; Randy Brannon, of Pea River Electric Cooperative, Ozark, as vice-chairman; and David Hembree of Cullman Electric Cooperative, Cullman, as secretary-treasurer.
The annual meeting, held April 9 and 10 in Montgomery, attracted more than 400 electric cooperative leaders and supporters from across the state.
The Alabama Rural Electric Association of Cooperatives is a federation of not-for-profit electric cooperatives, which provide dependable electricity to more than 1 million Alabamians in 64 counties.
