Prior to joining the GNL staff full-time, Bryant completed a 10-week internship with the Greenville Advocate and Luverne Journal as part of the Alabama Press Association’s Journalism Foundation Internship.

While at Troy, Bryant served as a section editor on the school newspaper’s staff.

Since joining GNL’s staff, Bryant has covered a variety of events, including a number of sporting events. He was also instrumental in the production of The Playbook, GNL’s annual football preview magazine.

“Jonathan has been a valuable member of our newsroom team since he joined the newspaper,” said Andy Brown, managing editor of Greenville Newspapers. “We’ve been pleased by the work ethic, attitude and commitment to improvement that he has shown during his time with us, and we believe he will be able to help us grow our sports coverage and engage our audience.”

Bryant will take over his new role immediately.
