Charlie Sankey Jr. has announced his plans to seek reelection to the Crenshaw County Commission.

Sankey represents District 5.

“While we deal with a drastically changing political climate, Crenshaw County has enjoyed a stable, consistent, conservative local government,” Sankey said. “From jobs to our overall financial position, Crenshaw County has grown. Our growth, in every area has been steady. There are various projects in execution right now that will ultimately add to our growth. Since there is no one person who can take credit for our success, I acknowledge the contribution of teamwork from the whole Crenshaw County community. When compared to other counties with similar size and geography, Crenshaw County leads the pack.”

Sankey also acknowledged a need for leadership that will continue to strive for growth.

“Focusing on areas of government that need improvements must be a vital part of this county’s proactive plan for the immediate future,” he said. “We need people who can make unbiased, prudent decisions that will continue Crenshaw County on a path of growth.
