Alabama State Troopers are currently on the scene of a fatal crash that occurred Sunday night on Interstate 65 South at mile marker  51 in Escambia County.

Several vehicles are involved with two confirmed fatalities and one critical injury.

The Alabama Department of Transportation has closed and rerouted traffic on Interstate 65 South at mile marker 54 and has advised it will be  closed for a couple of more hours while clean-up is being done.
