Percy Colon Nixon, age 89, a resident of Greenville, Ala., died on Tuesday, Dec. 17. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 19, at First United Methodist Church of Greenville at 2 p.m. with Rev. David Saliba, Rev. Joe Lisenby, and Pastor Gail Baughman officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  There will also be a service on Friday, Dec. 20, at Christian Valley Baptist Church in Coatopa, Ala., at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Mr. Nixon was preceded in death by his first wife, Sarah Farmer Nixon and brother, Bill Nixon.  He is survived by his wife, Miriam Anderson Nixon; children, Suzanne Nixon of Corinth, Miss., and Don Nixon of Livingston, Ala.; stepchildren, Sharon L. (Daniel Ghaleb) Callison of Huntsville, Ala., James B. (Deana) Callison of Vestavia Hills, Ala., and Thomas F. Callison of Homewood, Ala.; grandchildren, Reed and Nicki Nixon of Gallion, Ala.; step-grandchildren, Lauren, Ryan and Erin Ghaleb of Huntsville, Ala., and James and Mary Callison of Vestavia Hills, Ala.; sister, Josephine Reed of Coatopa, Ala.; and many nieces and nephews.
