Nelline Wood Murphy, 86, died Nov. 3 at her residence in Greenville. A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 6, at 2:30 p.m. at Shackleville Cemetery with Rev. Allen Murphy and Rev. Joe Bradford officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Nov. 5, at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Shackleville Baptist Church, 461 Starlington Rd., Georgiana, AL 36033 or to the Sardis Cemetery Fund, 223 Four Pines Rd., Greenville, AL 36037.

Nelline is preceded in death by her husband, Ray H. Murphy, and brother, J.D. “Buck” Wood.

She is survived by her children, Nellie Raye McNaughton (Larry) of Greenville, Douglas Randall “Randy” Murphy (Sylvia) of Greenville, and Bonnie Hester (Terry) of Greenville; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Montez Green of Houston, Texas, and Sarah Fuller of Deatsville, Ala.; brothers, Andy Wood of Jacksonville, Fla., and Joe Wood of Pigeon Creek, Ala., and many nieces and nephews.
