Howard Demar Harper, 85, a resident of Evergreen, Ala., passed away on Oct. 8. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 10, at New Home Cemetery in Evergreen with Rev. Mike Jones officiating and Johnson Funeral Home directing arrangements. The family will receive friends Thursday at Johnson Funeral Home from noon until 1:30 p.m. Mr. Harper is survived by his brother, Vaughn Harper, Evergreen; and a number of nieces and nephews.
