Resurfacing will begin in the coming months on a portion of the Springhill Road near the Country Club.
Wiregrass Construction Company was awarded the low bid on the project with a bid of $157,042.
City Engineer Morris Tate said only two companies bid Wiregrass and APAC.
The city estimated the project would cost $125,000 to $175,000, Tate said.
Additionally, Tate reported the city’s recycling program was now certified, and that the airport inspection went well.
He also said that Dixie Painting and Sandblasting out of Covington County would work to sandblast, clean out, pressure wash and inspect the water tank at SMART and inspect the city’s checkerboard tower, off of Jeffcoat Street.
