Afternoon storms knocked out power in a portion of Crenshaw County, Pioneer Electric said.

Twelve Crenshaw County customers are currently without power. Throughout the Pioneer EC system, 5,428 customers are currently without power.

Angela Green, communications specialist for Pioneer EC said crews are working to repair damage to the company’s electricity system from the severe winds, lightening and trees that have fallen on powerlines throughout the service area.
