Georgiana’s Virginia and Charleston Coker are champions once again.
The Georgiana natives repeated as the children’s doubles champions by defeating Josie and Ben Hanners in the championship match of the 38th World Championship Domino Tournament in Andalusia.
Charleston also earned a fourth-place finish in the children’s singles division.
The twins, who first competed in the tournament four years ago, began playing dominos when they were just 2 years old.
Eight years later, they are two-time champions.
The World Championship Domino Tournament in Andalusia is sponsored by the Andalusia Rotary Club, which began the tournament in 1976 in response to a challenge issued to each civic club in Andalusia to sponsor one event in the country’s bicentennial.
More than $850,000 in prize money and trophies have been awarded since the Domino Tournament began in 1976.
