Kayla Small was recently hired as an intern with Greenville Newspapers, LLC.
Small, a native of Georgiana and graduate of Greenville High School, is a freshman at LBW Community College where she plans to complete her prerequisite courses before transferring to Louisiana State University to pursue a degree in the medical field.
Small will intern at the Greenville Advocate for 10 weeks as part of the Alabama Press Association’s Advertising Foundation internship. Small will work with area businesses and customers, helping their businesses grow through advertising campaigns in newspaper, magazine, online, social media, and specialty publications.
We’re excited to have Kayla with us,” said Tracy Salter, publisher of GNL. “She has a strong local connection to the community and will do a good job during her internship. I look forward to our customers having a chance to work with Kayla.”
Small said she is looking forward to learning more about local businesses as she assists them with their marketing needs.
“I am happy to have the opportunity to do an internship at the Greenville Advocate,” said Small. “I look forward to meeting people in the community and getting a chance to learn more about the local businesses here. My mom worked at the Advocate for many years and it’s exciting to have a chance to work here too.”
