After months of anticipation, “Big” Pete Hayes and It Don’t Matter Restaurant will be back in business starting Monday.
The Highland Home restaurant burned last August, and the town has been without one of its favorites since.
Hayes said he’s been working to get the restaurant back open for months, and the new restaurant will seat some 250 patrons.
The menu will feature many crowd pleasers including steaks from 5 p.m. until close, breakfast daily, lunch and dinner buffets.
The Saturday night seafood buffet will return, with items such as catfish, fried oysters, stuffed crab, seafood gumbo and low country boil, and even fried chicken.
Hayes said hours will be Monday through Thursday from 6 a.m. until 8 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 6 a.m. until 9 p.m.; and Sunday from 6 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Breakfast hours will be from 6 a.m. until 10 a.m.; lunch buffet will be from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.; and a dinner buffet will be from 5 p.m. until closing.
Hayes said he’s excited to open back up.
