Lewis Preston Hanks, 78, a resident of Georgiana, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Johnson Funeral Home chapel. Burial will follow in Love’s Way Cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana is directing arrangements. Lewis was preceded in death by his wife, Anne Marie Hanks; son, Michael Hanks; parents, Presley and Iris Hanks; and brother, Billy Hanks. Survivors include, daughters, Betty Osborne, Susan Moore, Al and Edie Horton, of Indian Trail, S.C.; son, James E. Hanks, Wetumpka, Ala.; brother, Gary Hanks, Georgiana, Ala.; sisters, Louise Snow, Ohio, and Alene Bolling, Montgomery, Ala.; 11 grandchildren, and  13 great-grandchildren.
