Roger Franklin Smith, 83, a resident of Greenville, Ala., passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2013. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, March 23, at Johnson Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Leverette officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery with Johnson Funeral Home directing arrangements. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1 p.m. until service time. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his son, Danny Smith, and brothers, Chester Smith and Rogene Smith. Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Vera (Tiny) Smith, Greenville, Ala.; daughter, Dianne (Wayne) Myrick, Greenville, Ala.; sisters, Sadie Wilson, Pensacola, Fla., Daisy Tetter, Greenville, Ala., and Ameylene Owens, Lowndesboro, Ala.; brother, Louie Smith, Greenville, Ala.; granddaughter, Brandy (Stephen) Norris, Honoraville, Ala.; grandsons, Glenn (Jamie) Myrick, Forest Home, Ala., and Lynn (Amber) Myrick, Foley, Ala.; great-granddaughters, Alynn Myrick, and Albry Myrick; great-grandsons, Alden Myrick, Avrey Myrick, and Morgan Norris.
