Don Daniels, funeral director with Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home in Greenville, recently qualified for recertification as a certified funeral service practitioner (CFSP).
The certification was awarded by the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice.
CFSP is the funeral service profession’s national individual recognition.
According to a news release issued by the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice, “a select few have distinguished themselves among their peers within funeral service profession as they continue their education to exceed the highest standards of care. This achievement is especially notable because Don has voluntarily elected to participate in quality educational and service opportunities that far surpass what the funeral service licensing board in Alabama requires.”
To initially receive certification as CFSP, a practitioner must complete a 180-hour program of continuing education credits. In addition the practitioner must complete 20 hours of continuing education each year to receive recertification.
