Before Tuesday’s election decided the race for President, many citizens around the county took their place as a local elected leader.

Ceremonies were held on Sunday and Monday to swear in mayors and town councils.

Municipal elections were held in August, and incumbents in the towns of Brantley, Glenwood, Petrey and Rutledge were unopposed for another term in office.
